The Wood River Mountain Bike has started the registration process for the Fall 2025 MTB IICL/NICA Season. Our season commences on July 28, 2025 and continues until the second week in October. This is the initial phase of registration and we are anticipating a full roster by April 15, 2025. In order for our team to prepare for the season, we are asking you to pre-register your child so we can determine how many riders are interested in the team and the number of possible parent coaches.
Our program has demonstrated great success throughout the years due to the community effort that is required to run the team. These members are volunteers on the team and serve as the backbone for our team.
We register early for the fall season due to the following reasons:
BLM/USFS permits
Coaches – we need to train coaches in the spring
Kits (uniforms) need eight weeks to process
The selection process for the Middle School Team is as follows:
1 – parents who commit to coach for the team have the highest priority,
2 – siblings have priority,
3 – rider is currently on the team
4 – parents who are willing to volunteer throughout the season,
5 – BCSD students have priority (see BCSD Board Policy 600),
6 – First come- first served, and
7 – we will use a lottery system for all others.
The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) Pit Zone opens April 1 – your rider will be invited to this page once on the team. You will also be invited to the WR MTB Team TeamSnap portal (all team communication goes through this).
